Workshops for Youth

On October 2nd 2010 the indigenous participants from the first four years of the First Voices project will come together to host workshops for youth and to showcase their amazing talent in a one day festival.

The workshops, hosted in Halifax, are open to youth from the ages of 14-20. This will be an opportunity for Atlantic Canadian youth to collaborate with established and experienced international artists in the genres of music, dance, video and visual arts. The theme of the workshops is I have a story to tell…….where participants will delve into the various artistic mediums to learn about expression and stories of indigenous and diaspora youth. The workshops will address the question of how you can use arts to tell your story.

The workshops facilitators come from all over the world: the Philippines, Botswana, Chile, Honduras Guatemala and Canada. Benefit from this exciting opportunity and sign up today! We especially welcome indigenous and diaspora youth from all over Atlantic Canada.

Online registration form to follow but for more information please contact the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation at projects@acic-caci.org or (902) 431-2311
